SPEAKER: Tim O'Brien

Tim O’Brien is an American novelist who often writes about his experiences in the Vietnam War and the impact the war had on the American servicemen who fought there. He received the 1979 National Book Award for Going After Cacciato. Among his other books are The Things They Carried, In the Lake of the Woods, Tomcat in Love, If I Die in a Combat Zone, and July, July.
